Fragile items packing checklist

1. Set up a dedicated fragile station with tape, markers, and corner protectors.
2. Wrap each plate vertically like records, not stacked flat without padding.
3. Fill hollow stemware with paper to reduce vibration cracks.
4. Double-box heavy glass bowls with cushioning between shells.
5. Remove loose lids from ceramics; wrap separately.
6. Build a cradle of rolled towels at the bottom of each lamp box.
7. Use painter’s tape on glass fronts instead of sticking tape to finishes.
8. Mark boxes on multiple sides: “FRAGILE — THIS SIDE UP.”
9. Load fragile boxes last if you control load order; avoid heavy stacks on top.
10. Photograph high-value items before packing for insurance documentation.
